The MTC Decks

Naturally, we do not cast our trucks and hubs by ourselves, and for sure
we do not sit down and sew our bindings, but there is one thing we do
not want to give away anymore...

...from now on, all of our decks will be laminated and pressed by hand in our own little
deck woodshop. Afterwards they pass through our own cnc-machine and go back
to the woodshop for the final and finishing jobs.
the Flame woodshop
At the heart of all our decks is a very special core, which is - made itself with the
extra developed MTC construction - laminated among different layers of
biaxial, unidirectional or triaxial glassfiber and extra hard and
bullet-proof layers of the best snowboard cap surfaces available.

MTC means Multirod Triple Core.
This unique core construction lets us work with only 3 layers of wood, which again means
an essential reduction of epoxy glue and hence a considerable weight-saving
on the finished deck, but with all the advantages of high-end wooden snowboard cores.
Bearing in mind the best snowboards in the world are not worked with foam cores,
and they are definitly not made with cap - but with sandwich technology.

Custom made decks, i.e. using snowboard-inserts, carbon, basalt, kevlar, dyneema, or texilium-fabrics,
are possible according to your wishes. Even the deck's shape (outline) can be customised, as generally
we are able to cut every CAD design on our CNC milling machine.

At the moment, we have two moulds. We use a shorter "Bullet" and a longer "Bloke"
press, from which we can produce 90-95cm and 96-100cm decks.

Depending on the shape and the kind of fabrics used in each deck, the weight will be
from about 1.5kg to 2.2kg. We think this is a very good result, but the deck characteristics
like flex, strength and pop are unmatched in the weight category.
